Interesting, I’ve been toying with a science fiction story of mine for 5 years now. I’ve wasted a great deal of time just speculating on how to explain the fantastic things that happen in my story. Conveniently I’m in college, so I have the advantage of taking courses like physics for aerospace sciences and intro into space studies courses, which have helped me fix obvious scientific mistakes I have made in my story. Great video, kinda short though.

Given how broad the genre of science fiction is, I don’t think it can be summed up in under two minutes. You touched on the distopian future aspect, but that’s just a small portion of what science fiction can be. It’s good advice but, as someone who reads and writes a lot of sci-fi, I feel it’s very limited.
