I think college degree is great but when you owe 85,000 how do you pay that back it sucks

Don’t worry, your pay is only bound to decrease! Hope you enjoy being treated like a commodity!

Unfortunately,1) the state has been steadily decreasing its appropriation to the UCs2) people are less willing to donate to a "public" institution3) the UC rules concerning money donation are RETARDED; i.e., it must go into a "general fund"4) the good profs are underpaid and the bad are tenuredWell, what do you expect with government-run education? (or, as money dries up, maybe "government-regulated" is more appropriate)

I attended UCLA and graduated ‘09 in political science, almost cum laude. I enjoyed the whole 4-year experience tremendously. However, I now find myself unemployed, with my only offer for work starting at $10/hour. I have a friend who skipped college, and now works as a Honda sales manager, making upwards of $60k in this recession. College was great from an intellectual, self-cultivation, and networking perspective. But I would likely be in a better financial position today if I had not gone.

my grandma always used to say ‘put all your networking perspective in one hand, and piss in the other. see which one fills up faster’or somethin like that

You should persevere.. You end it, you lose.. You just gotta put your boxing gloves on and box back as hard you can.. Hardship breeds character, and I’m sure you have it..

I would also add that you should not have a minor. Universities LOVE minors because they increase the credit load. However, no employer will be impressed by a college minor.

I once attended a 4-year college, but it just didn’t cut it for me, which is why I ended up not having adequate grades in the fall semester of last year. Ridiculous testing is mostly to blame for all that, especially a test involving writing an argumentative essay that my school required for all prospective graduates. Personally, I think learning skills for a trade is much more marketable, which is why I am now attending a vocational school and am doing a lot better grade-wise.
